Mama Lidia was previously involved in funding and building an eight building school (opened in 2006 supporting over 1900 students daily) and a Maternity and Pediatric clinic named

"Mama Lidia's" Clinic" operating since 2017. Both are in Feres May Tigray, Ethiopia.

In 2020 she ran fundraisers to provide face masks and sanitizer soap to Ethiopian villages via the clinic. She also raised funds to provide materials to produce feminine hygiene kits for school girls and young women in Tigray and other areas. The kits were produced locally and distributed to those in need. Mama Lidia visited the school to distribute kits to the students and encourage them to educate themselves to help their communities.

Mama Lidia is now fundraising to rebuild,replenish the school and clinic which were damaged and looted during the last 3 years due to the war in Tigray and other regions. Since the war started in November 2020, thousands of children have not been able to attend school. The Feres May people have also been without health care due to the lost of the clinic.

Children's education and health care are critically needed to help in recovery and support of the region.
